PLSTNDBY was founded in 2019 by Kalah Williams. She had the OG vintage tv logo but didn’t understand the meaning behind her own idea until she moved away from the safe box that is home. She was a shy child from the south side of Chicago so moving across the country to Los Angeles CA was big for her. Along with having no choice but to develop the social skills she’s been avoiding most of her life she learned a lot about people. The most important thing she learned was perspective. Everyone has a different perspective, therefore one persons internal struggles could never compare to another’s. Everyone is going through something no matter what their screen displays. But one thing we all do have in common? The ability to feel. At the end of the day we’re all human. No matter your rank or bank account status we’re all going to meet the same demise. So express yourself in any and every way you can. We should all hold space for one another because you never know what the next human is going through and how they cope. The question is are you going to stand by? Or stand back.
